About KPC Series News Tournament Rules

Tournament Rules

The decisions of the Tournament Director and Floor Staff are final.

In any unusual circumstances, the Floor Team will make the ruling

deemed fairest and in the best interest of the game.

All tournament seating will be randomly assigned;

however, the Tournament Director reserves the right to make

adjustments to accommodate players with special needs.

Players are responsible for verifying their registration receipt and

starting stack.

Late entries and re-entries will receive a full starting stack.

The button position will be randomly drawn at the start of the

tournament, when opening a new table, and redraw.

When the tournament is being played with ten or more tables,

the difference in the number of players between tables shall not exceed two.

When there are fewer than ten tables remaining, the difference shall not

exceed one player.

Play will be paused if there is a difference of three players between

tables while awaiting balancing.

A single ante will be posted for the entire table by the player in the big

blind, in an amount equivalent to the big blind.

The big blind is posted first, followed by the ante.

Antes never reduce until the end of the tournament.

A player can’t request for a deck change but is encouraged to point out

marks, faults and any other damages on cards.

The decks will be changed at the Tournament Director discretion.

Different rules might apply for Televised/Featured Tables where decks

might be changed more often.

Players are responsible to protect their own cards and act in turn at all times.

If a hand is accidentally mucked by the dealer, the Tournament Director

will be called.

All bets that have been called may be considered valid and will not be

returned to the player.

In tournaments with shot clocks, players do not have the right to call for time.

However, they are encouraged to notify the Tournament Director if they

observe any player abusing the shot clock.

The Time Bank chips must be visible on the table and easily countable

by staff and players at all times.

Players will receive a different number of Time Bank chips depending on

the level at which they enter the tournament.

See the event rules for details.

the latest TDA rules will be used.

In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the English

and translated versions of the rules,

the English version shall prevail.
